Daniel's Story

Daniel was born on June 2, 2004 at 32 weeks gestation and weighing just 2 lbs, 12 oz. He was admitted to Samaritan Medical Center’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Although Daniel struggled after his premature birth, Samaritan’s highly skilled staff helped him pull through one life-threatening complication after another.

The support of family and friends, the expertise of nurses and doctors, and the state-of-the-art equipment in Northern New York’s only Level II NICU all played a role in helping Daniel survive. Today he is a healthy, playful boy. (Photo by Creative Imaging Fine Photography)
